KEEP YOUR COMPOSURE WHEN YOU’RE COLD CALLING!

There’s nothing that scares me less than cold calling does. Why are you scared of someone you’ve never met? Unless you’re scared to walk outside, you shouldn’t be scared of picking up the phone.

• 1. Analyze the 3 scariest responses you could think of the other person on the other end saying. Practice your answers back to them in the mirror. I bet they don't sound as scary out loud as they sound in your head.

• 2. Practice your pitch with 2 friends on the phone and ask them to reject you so that you get comfortable with rejection.

• 3. Sales and business are a game. You're waiting on that one yes at any moment that could change your life. Is it worth giving up now before you've gotten it?

Go ahead, pick up the phone. Call your mom, your best friend, your grandma and pitch them the most bizarre idea you can think of. I bet they’ll reject it and you’ll simply laugh because you don’t care what they think of your wacky ideas! Why should you care about what someone who has never met you thinks about you?

Cold calling isn’t the problem. Your insecurities and confidence are. That’s A-OK, but let’s fix those two together before we tackle the real problems facing your career.
