How I've Trained Myself To Be Resilient

Did you miss Stay Fearless or Die Trying last week in your inbox? I surely missed writing this email! Stay Fearless is the highlight of my week. That’s probably because writing this weekly brings me back to my OG days of blogging.

In the Telegram group for the Fearless community (join it here!) one of the members asked me how I’ve become so resilient. There’s no simple way to feel confident bouncing back over and over. You have to train yourself to counteract the depression and anxiety that comes from being let down and turn your frustration into something greater than you!

1. Whatever it is that you’re building, that project must speak louder than you to achieve ultimate success. So many of us get stuck in the mindset that this is the end all be all. How can you not think like that when you’re an entrepreneur? But your brand (regardless of if it’s a passion project or a company making a lot of money) mission has to dig deeper than you. That fearless fire inside of me to inspire more people is what’s helped me bounce back in the moments I’m struggling to understand the purpose of all of this.

2. Stop questioning what the purpose of “all of this” is. You’ll never have the “right” answer and I certainly don’t. I know my purpose but I don’t know the purpose of the world. It’s seriously f’ing weird. I also find it really odd people own animals they walk everyday. Imagine if your dog walked you and you were the dog. Idk, just laugh out loud when you find yourself pondering the answer to that question.

3. Lean into rejection. I post videos of myself calling people back who rejected me NOT because I’m looking to embarrass myself! But because I think if I do embarrass myself it’ll be a little bit easier for you to slow your roll and remember you’re not alone in the journey to becoming successful.
