Why Being Naive Got Me Further In Business

How Being Naive Got Me Further In Business

As you saw me describe in last week’s rendition of Stay Fearless or Die Trying, you have to be an outside-of-the-box thinker to run a startup. You have to be ready to change direction at every moment of every day, and that’s a unique lifestyle to get used to! When someone asks you “Why you?” what do you say? I’ve gotten accustomed to telling people the reason the reason they should follow me over someone else is because my stories are unique and I discuss them authentically. I can go into more detail on that, but it’s the truth. You have a story that made you start your company. You have a story about why you’re working the job you love (or hate) and it all stems from your story.

I started my blog when I was 12. Before the days of influencing and content creation! I started because I had no friends, no money, and a passion to do something bigger with my life. I sat in rooms with people I didn’t know, emailed people I thought may be able to help me in business (many of them constantly telling me I was crazy) and had no expectations just a big dream. I followed my passion of inspiring people and that led me to Be Fearless. I was so naive when I was 12 because I had no idea what I was in for!
