Turning A Personal Brand Into Success

Plus, 3 Ways You Can Follow In My Footsteps

Hi fearless family!

What’s holding you back these days? I tweeted that yesterday, and got so many replies. In brighter news, my fearless win this week was following my gut. My biggest advice for aspiring founders is to not tell people their ideas when they come up with a new one, and there’s an idea I’m keeping close to me until I decide how to properly pursue it. I trusted my gut, and I’m already feeling confident in this idea!

P.S. Are you on Threads? If so, follow me, but also, realllly Instagram? Twitter, Facebook, TikTok…are you overwhelmed AF with social media?

Some of the replies from Twitter are below…

Last weeks poll results surprised me:

What is holding you back from being fearless?

Winner winner: my friends and family don’t support me. How does that make you feel?

Now the juice: how can you build what I’ve built?

Alexa’s tips for building a successful personal brand:

  1. Know your niche. I started as a fashion blogger, and now I focus heavily on entrepreneurship and the startup culture. As I’ve evolved, so has my brand. The more experience you get selling and discussing your ideas, the more you’ll find what you love. AKA, try everything and say YES to anything! Many of you have followed me since the beginning of this wild journey, and now we’ve grown old together! The amount of young people I’ve been able to watch grow into their own brands (Anna is a perfect example, you should follow her here) makes my heart melt.

  2. Start consulting. What’s the easiest way to make money nowadays? Find local brands in your area who are looking for someone young to help them with their social media or ideas, and from there you’ll realize that you’ve already begun to sell your insight. These clients can become full-time clients, or you can take the ideas you’re so kindly giving them and pursue them on your own.

  1. Connect with your audience. Until you’re Oprah level, you reply to every email. Every DM. You DM people asking THEM what they want to see from YOU. The one thing everyone isn’t doing is engaging with their audience, but that’s how you’ll learn the most.

Stay fearless or die trying,

Alexa
