The Future of Marketing
What’s The Future Of Marketing Look Like?
It’s blurry, kids.
A few weeks ago I spoke with Chris & Adam over at AdQuick on the future of marketing and the conversation really got me thinking. Are marketing jobs going to be taken over by robots? Marketing dollars are no longer spent on driving traffic to social media pages and websites because we all know that you have to spend $5K + on ads to get a return.
Google and Facebook aren’t companies focused on helping build your business. They’re looking to make continued growth on their end. Duh!
If you’ve ever worked in a traditional marketing or ad job, you may find yourself getting increasingly nervous about the future of your career.
Some interesting stats:
Email collection forms were the most successful at converting viewers, with a 15% conversion rate in 2020 (Source: https://www.hubspot.com/marketing-statistics)
3.5% of ecommerce website visits via mobile are converted into purchases, compared to 3.9% on desktop. (Statista, 2021) (Source: https://www.hubspot.com/marketing-statistics)
Email visitors are the most likely to convert on forms — and people coming from search advertisements are the least likely. (Unbounce, 2021) (Source: https://www.hubspot.com/marketing-statistics)
If you’re a small business owner and don’t have a newsletter, you’re certainly missing out on an audience. At Be Fearless 2024, you can expect to hear from a panel of speakers at companies with large marketing email lists (we’re talking 30k+ subs) on the power of a newsletter. Similar to a podcast, newsletters draw in a cult following you may not experience from someone who is scrolling through social media.

Being a creator is awesome. 😎 Creating great content, working with brands you love, and making money off your passion. Well, except the “working with brands” part. 😬 That flooded inbox, manual invoices, trying to stay on top of your brand partnerships, scattered communication, emails back and forth - and all those tools you stitch together to manage it all. It can make you forget why you became a creator!
